An image of Mohanlal with a tonsured head recently spread online and people started guessing about the film it belonged to. The majority guess was for a film directed by Prajith which had announced a character that was supposed to be acted by Mohanlal named Benz Vasu. But the director denied the grapevine and more guesses and assumptions starting flowing in.

One guess was that it is the character of the sequel planned by veteran director Thampi Kannanthanam to his super hit film Rajavinte Makan which catapulted Mohanlal from an ordinary actor to a star. Thampi Kannanthanam recently refuted the claim and said that he had not seen that image, but it is anyway not the character of Rajavinte Makan as he has not published any images of the character.

As a result of this controversy, one thing confirmed is that the director still cherishes the plan to make the sequel. He said that he still holds on to the project and it will have Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi playing the lead roles. The director stated that he still has plans for the project and it is too early to reveal anything about it now.
